With the advent of the COVID-19 crisis, every sphere of life was affected. In the education sector, the effects were immediate and adverse. Schools and other educational institutions remained closed for almost a year, making it impossible for ordered effective teaching and learning to take place.
The conference series provided a platform for discussions of salient issues regarding the state of education in the COVID-19 context, so that ways are found to improve education for the future; a future modified by the COVID-19 global crisis; a future we have no time to get into, because it’s already actually here.
In short it was an opportunity as citizens of Uganda to support our government’s COVID-19 response, recovery and rebuilding efforts, because despite the challenges, the COVID-19 has also provided an opportunity, through technology, for citizens and organizations to meet, even globally and SHARE ideas on how to move things forward. Be part of the solution!
