Graduate Student Research Support

Challenges and gaps exist in in-person supervision and online supervision of graduate students (masters and doctoral) as they navigate academic programs to earn their degrees (Creighton, Creighton, & Parks, 2010; Kumar, Johnson, & Hardemon, 2013; Sverdlik et al., 2018; Yob & Crawford, 2012). The paucity of versatile academicians in research methodologies and incompetence in in-person and e-supervision and mentoring influence degree completion rates among graduate students. Many graduate students do not graduate in a timely manner and some drop out of graduate programs due to frustration and stress related to poor mentoring and ineffective advisory support. E-Cubed Educational Consultancy has developed a graduate student research support program (GSRSP) to help graduate students navigate their academic programs with confidence and complete their academic research with excellence. The research support program includes strategies for quality literature reviews, effective proposal and dissertation writing, and successful defense of proposals, theses and dissertations. Pedagogical Praxis, Institutional Leadership Praxis, Policy Development and Implementation

Continuous professional development is one of the key dynamics that educators at all levels need to make continuous improvements in the learning environments. The cost of continuous professional development in terms of time and logistics tend to prohibit educator involvement in the praxis. Since May 2020, E-Cubed held three virtual conferences via Zoom rallying educators to support parents and students in home-based learning to ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 pandemic and to prepare for the reopening of schools. E-Cubed will organize quarterly virtual conferences that are highly cost-effective removing pre-COVID-19 needs for VISA fees, hotel expenses, air or road travel fares, et cetera. Participants will only need to “pay” for data or Internet charges while learning in the comfort of their office, home, or school. E-Cubed will continue to focus on topical issues in the educational enterprise to support educators, leaders, researchers, and policy makers in their work at all levels through evidence-based knowledge. E-Cubed publishes post-conference e-reports that are accessible and/or downloadable from her website and uploads post-conference videos that can be viewed on You Tube.

Educational Research and Development

E-Cubed espouses the use of empirical evidence to inform educational policy and educational praxis. E-Cubed will conduct research on educational issues especially in developing contexts to contribute to the generation of new knowledge and to share evidence-based solutions and decision-making to educational questions and matters.

Learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics

E-Cubed espouses the value of improving the study of the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to lay the foundation for engagement in building and strengthening a knowledge-generating and innovative culture especially in developing countries. Results from several studies point at the high levels of student disengagement and marginalization of groups of students in the learning of science and mathematics (Asiimwe, 2013; Nissen, 2019; Visintainer, 2019; Kiruma, 2020). E-Cubed aims at making a contribution in STEAM education through research, e-conferences for educators and policymakers, and strategic partnerships with organizations and businesses that share this goal.

Improvement of the Reading Culture in Marginalized Communities

E-Cubed aims at supporting marginalized families and communities to improve their communication skills in the English language. The English language is the medium of instruction and business in many developing nations and the language of access to information and data. The lack of requisite English proficiency is reported as a stumbling block for many students in their learning. E-Cubed will work with organizations with similar goals to carry out programs that support teachers and parents in their efforts to enhance students’ proficiency in the English language such as community mobile libraries.

Supporting Vocational Education and Training

E-Cubed aims at supporting the re-imagining VET for better vocational services in Uganda through activities that:

  • Change in the mindset of trainees, trainers, and the public about VET
  • Mainstream skills training for all VET learners
  • Mainstream ICT, agricultural education, and health care education in VET

Pilgrimages

Completing a journey to a site that is of utmost spiritual importance can be deeply transformative and rich with meaning. For Catholics, pilgrimages are important in the spiritual life journey, and a way of expressing penance or devotion to their faith. With an active religious across the world, we offer pilgrimages to different destinations worldwide.
